Hood hinges
« on: October 17, 2010, 05:10:13 pm »

Just a quick question > I've removed the hinges from the hood and wing and there seems to be loads of play in both. If I "squash" the studs would it tighten up or is it better to cut them out and nut/bolt them?

cheers

Andy

Is it at the pivots?  On the 1979?

Yes Chris it's the '79. when it's all bolted together the hood can move left to right about 3 inches when it's open. Just a little nervous that if it's not tighter it'll hit the newly painted fenders and I'm not wanting that!
