Guy near me has a 81 sport truck, he really don't know much about it, he said its got the 6 cyl in it. Was that an option for the sports? can't find much about em.

Sport could be had with any motor so it is possible.

Thanks , I seen the ones for the earlier ones. only found one for the 81's and it didn't say anything about engines.

No I didn't, KInda wished I had of, I miss my GMC..lol  It just scared me being as rough as it was.
