Cold Weather painting....

My '87 Short step and I live in central Oregon.  It gets Cold up here but does not stay that way too long at a time.

What is the best way to get a "nice" gloss black paint job on before spring?  Any help is appreciated.  I have not purchased the paint yet but I see a lot of +40 degree warnings.
