Hey all! My name is drew and I finally registered to this site, although I've been coming to it for a few years for advice when I needed it. I love chevy trucks and have a few now and have owned many. I have a 75 Gmc Sierra c25 with a bored 350, sm465, 14ff with 411's. I've worked it pretty hard and played even harder the last few years, and I recently started showing her some love again. I also have a 78 custom 10 with a stock targetmaster 350/th350/np203 on 38.5" swamper tsl's and a 83 model 305/2wd half ton truck I'd eventually like to put on the 78 4wd frame because the cab is in much better condition.I'm new to trying to post stuff but ill get some pictures up here as soon as I figure it out. Keep up the good work everyone!!

You're from the beautiful end of VA, southwest.  I love Abingdon--near the birthplace of Country Music, near Bristol where A.P. Carter and the Carter family are from and the Stanley Brothers (clinch mt).  I love the Va Creeper trail, too that terminates in Abingdon, starts at White mt, near Mt rogers, highest peak in VA at 5729', goes on down thru Damascus where the Appalachian Trail Days are each May...love that area.

Thanks for all the friendly welcome! SgtDel, this is surely the most beautiful end of Va. Trail days are amazing as well as the sights of the creeper trail. Not to mention the music! Rhythm and Roots is a country/bluegrass/folk music festival in bristol every summer that I highly recommend. I live at South Holston Lake, right on the line, about 12 mile from Abingdon and Bristol City Limits, however I'm only about 8 mins from Bristol motor speedway and thundervalley drag strip. I'm going to try to post a link to photobucket, but being new to this Idk how it will work.

Drew, i've camped along the resevoir on Holston, just below Bristol--it was an awesome place.  forgot the name of the federally run campground in the nat'l forest. I had a few days to kill prior to trail days in damascus one year.
I've 'coasted' from White top mt on the creeper trail all the way to damascus one year too...never had to pedal my bike at all.  I love that area.  Ever went to one of those festivals at A.P. Carter's homeplace?  that's on my bucket list.

Sgt.Del, I've never been to the festivals but have visited the carter family fold many times. I checked out your website and noticed the links to Cape Cod. I've been there several times as well. Last time we went, we went to the Cape and spent the night in Sandwich where we got some extremely well crafted furniture. Alot of my family is from Rhode Island so we'd ride to the Cape for lunch or just to go. I've been all over the east coast and a few other places and I believe we are truly blessed to live in such a beautiful country. Colorado is next on my list - once I get the chevys right.
   Has anyone viewed them on the link posted above? I had an 86 3/4ton on 44's with an ls6 I sold last spring and was going crazy without a 4wd so i found the 78 and have about $230 tied up in it all togther. i mainly got it for parts; I busted my rear glass in another truck hauling wood and the whole truck had $230 of glass in it, plus a great running 350 and tight  steering. Hopefully, I'll have the body off by next week, have the frame painted, D44 and 14ff under it. I 'd like to find 4" springs for the front. Ill take plenty of pictures and try to keep them posted. Holler if anyneed any odds-n-ends out of the cab.
