Got the gasoline flowing again!

after 3+ years of running solely on propane, I managed to get the gasoline flowing again! I think the electric fuel pump i put on it was having a hard time priming, also because i only put a few gallons in to start with. Now, I just need to put the fuel tank back on! Also later I will put up a picture of the tank and ask you guys what size it is. Thanks!

My cost on propane where I work amounts to $2.60/gal after taxes. Thats 20% off our retail price of $0.75/lb, propane weighs 4.2 lbs/gallon. There are cheaper options out there for motorfuel distribution (namely, my propane supplier for our bulk dispenser at work said they sell it in bulk to home dispensers for $1.40/gal)

Propane burns cleaner, and on an engine built to run on propane (13:1 or higher compression not being the least of the specs!) can make close to the same power for a street vehicle, and somewhat comperable mileage. Longer time between oil changes as a general rule. Greater cooling system capacity is a must to reduce valve burn.

I have connections and i get it cheaper than 1.40, but not a lot. As far as i know, nothing has been modified on my engine except the addition of the propane system. And a straight fan, no clutch. You also didnt mention carrying around 72 gallons of fuel.

Your biggest outright expense is parts. Tank, hoses, vaporizer, lock off valves, and of course the propane mixer. I run an impco 425.
