Well, I pulled in the driveway at 1:30 AM Sunday Morning.(worked on it for over 12 hours to finish up) I am driving my truck again. Thank goodness. Six months without is a long time. Of course, I still have to do some "tweaking" here and there but I am driving it every day. Whew! Today is day 2 on the road. Alignment ain't that bad but still gonna have it done. I really like the ride with the Western Chassis 2 1/2 in drop spindles. The new Eaton LSD is awesome. Love the 3:42 gears and the 700R4 behind that big block! Just adjusting and fine tuning the Holley Street Avenger 770 cfm carb. Enough of the story, here's some pics.Somehow, looks really long in this pic. Thanks to everyone for their guidance and suggestionsFidd
WilliamBos,All of the machine work and internals was done by a local guy who's been doing it for 35 years. He assembled the long block and put on my intake and stabbed the distributor for me. I added the valve covers, water pump, hedders, March dual serpentine system and everything else. The valve covers are manufactured in California by Ansen. They are HUGE. If I ever have to replace the gasket on the driver's side, I'll have to remove the brake booster. No kidding. But it's worth it. Thanks for looking.Fidd
