Is there an assembly manual for the 73-80 pickups, like a Fisher manual for cars.

I haven't run across one yet, but a lot of the body stuff is in the FSM. I am familiar with what you're talking about, I have one for 64-66 trucks.

There has to be something out there. How did they determine which holes in the firewall were to be drilled and other little things like that. I don't think Fisher body assembled the body. I'd like to know what every dimple is for. It's an ocd thing.
