Is the parking brake cable operating and adjusted correctly?  If the rear brake hose is original it may not be letting the fluid pressure release.  Those are 2 things to check.

Sounds like the Self Adjusters on the drums are bad. I had one go bad on me and if I adjusted it, within 2 days that wheel would lock on me and the brake would drag.

Are the adjusters in the correct sides?

I live by the KISS system. Whenever I do brakes, especially drum brakes I always do one side at the time. That way I don't get anything mixed up and I always have an example to look at if I need it.

The pistons also could be hanging up, check those while you have it apart.
