If the calender on the wall said 2010 I'd be "right on time" with my plans...However since it's 2011, I guess I'm a bit behind

I took the engine & transmission out of the truck a month or so ago to re-fresh...they had a fair amount of miles on them & about 200 drag strip passes. Rings, bearings & gaskets...good to go.
Got it back together last Sunday (the 10th), put about 6 miles on it Wednesday evening, loaded it up on Thursday night & headed for Norwalk, Ohio for 3 days of racing. The Olds Powered Nationals was on Sunday.
The wife made it to the semi finals Saturday in the street class...Not too shabby for the first time out this year & no time to sort out things

We had a huge car count here at Summit Motorsports Park last Saturday for the Mr. Gasket Super Series. It seems that since the weather has made a turn in our direction the numbers of competitors and their families have turned into an awesome weekly happening. I’m waiting for the day there are so many people here we get a Flash-Mob covering the track in song and dance. Let’s see Oprah beat that one.

Quarter-Finals
JJ Wilhelm from Michigan City, Indiana started out the quarter-finals by taking the win away from David Ferris and his ’71 Cutlass with the 485 Olds engine with a .075 differential between the pair.
Sondra Senior came all the way from Beaver Bob’s track in Pa. to eliminate Mansfield’s Robert McCormack.
Casey Kelley who has just started drag racing got a win when Mike Willi ran under his dial-in by .045.
