newer chevy wheels

has any one tryed a set of like 90-98 6 bolt wheels (the ones that kinda look like stars) on there older 73-87 chevy 4x4 and. if so did they set in to far? or were they pretty much like an older rally wheel?.or stick out a little farther than a rally wheel?
