Actually that isn't Ford doing it, that is Dynacorn, they had to have it approved by Ford.
They already make 1967-1969 Camaro/Firebird coupe and convertibles, 1970 Chevelle coupe and convertibles, 47-50 Chevy pickup cabs, 55-57 Chevy pickup cabs, 1967-1971 Mustang Fastbacks.
The catch is, if you don't have a current VIN from an existing vehicle, you have to register it as a new vehicle that the current year regulations must be applied.
When the Camaro bodies came out I thought it would be cooler if GM just made the real Gen I instead of the current one....
