Setting timing

The 350 motor is up and running. I've set the total timing and initial timing. Now... someone on here has to school me about setting up the timing curve. I want to squeeze every ounce of power this motor has, will be used mostly for street/weekends as well as hauling firewood. I have the MSD pro-billet distributor where you switch out the bushings and the springs. Someone on here has to school me what I need to be looking for. What I have: Holley street avenger 670, flowtech headers, edelbrock performer intake, mild comp cam, MSD 6AL-2. Right now has the factory installed heavy springs. ANy help is appreciated.

There are two tools needed, duct tape and WD40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD 40.

the best thing to do is read the instuction they show what curve work and different uses they are for. and just play around cause each motor is different and they way u drive start small and write down what u do each time and see what works best.
