Window regulator wheels
« on: January 20, 2012, 03:09:41 pm »
Has anyone repaired or replaced the three wheels on your power window regulators? Mine are not "free rolling" at all, the rest of the regulator is in good condition and works fine. The window is a little "bouncy" and I think it's because the wheels don't roll, they have plenty of grease on them and on the track. The felt in the channel is also in good condition and the window slides up & down with ease when working them by hand (regulator removed). Thanks in advance for any info you might have.

They're a nuisance to replace!  If there are no 'flat' spots they shouldn't be a problem.  Have you verified alignment, anchoring and adjustment of the channel and regulator mounting?

Don't have any flat spots and I have taken advantage of what little adjustment there is. The problem is not that bad I would just like for them to operate a little smoother if possible before I put the door panels back on.

They don't actually "roll" like a wheel.  Most of the issues with them rolling up is the adjustment on the rear track and worn weatherstripping.
