Question on door weatherstripping
« on: March 15, 2012, 02:12:59 pm »
I have some door weatherstripping, first time I have done this project. Do I need to glue the weatherstripping to the cab or does it just pinch on? I decided I need to get this installed before I put the headliner and trim in.

I didn't have to glue my weatherstripping. It slid tight enough onto the pinch weld all around the cab and stays in place just fine.

Mine slid on tight too. Even bumped it wih a rubber mallet to get it seated. Inside there was a black silicone like stuff that sealed it onto the pinch weld.

My headliner is glue to the pinch weld, then my weatherstripping goes on. I dont know what kind of headliner you are using, but I would check into that.
