Test electrical system with no engine?

I have a 78k5 2wd ied like to test the electrical system before I drop my engine and trans into her
I picked it up had no engine or trans. All power ied like to know that it all works not sure how to go about it thanks for the help

Just connect the two wires that go to the positive battery cable on the starter... To a battery, turn the key forward, and test away
