80s posi... gov- lok?

If I get a posi rear end from the 80s will it most likely be a gov- lok style? I want a posi not to race but just to get a boat down and up a boat ramp and to drive everyday. Should I turn down a gov lok rear if I come across one? I have found a rear out of a suburban that the guy says is posi and I'm thinking its a gov- lok type. Opinions needed as I will have to get another rear end within a week guys. Thanks!

for going up and down a boat ramp there is nothing wrong with a gov-loc. Anything factory in a 10bolt is going to be a gov-loc. FYI: Posi, or Positive Traction, it a name for any limited slip GM used..

Thanks. And the gear oil is 80-90 without limited slip additive correct?
