Another 700R4 Question.
« on: June 05, 2012, 11:40:03 pm »
Hey guys.
So I have an 86 C10 that I have been working on for a little better than a year. I basically started from the ground up, And I am getting it road worthy now. I recently changed out one 700R4 for another, and went to hook up the TCC vaccum switch. However, There is a green wire that doesn't appear to be hooked up to anything, and I was wondering where it is supposed to go. I have searched the forum to try and find an answer, But I'm not 100% sure. Also, What is a good source for the vaccum for this switch? Both ports on the front of my carb are being used, Can I put a T in one? Thanks for your help, I know you have answered this question before, I just couldn't find it.
Thanks.

Yes you can put a "T" in the line.  Is the new trans the same year of your old one ?  I know they make changes in the 700r4.
Also welcome to the site from California.

#1: The easiest and most obvious solution to any problem is 99% of the time correct.
#2: There is no such thing as impossible, it just takes longer.
