96 carbed LT1 in a 86 K10. NEED HELP
« on: June 19, 2012, 12:04:53 am »
I am putting a lt1 that came out of a 96 Chevy caprice into my 86 Chevy k10 truck. When I got the motor it had be converted back to a carb motor. I lowered it in my truck but ran into a problem. The accessories bracket that is on the passenger side of the motor is hitting my frame. It has the alternator at the top. The power steering pump below that. And the a/c delete pulley below that along with the belt tensioner.  ANY HELP OR INFO ON WHAT TO DO WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

There is a couple of members who have done what you have done.  Be patient until they see the post.  This should have been posted in the section titled Engine/drive train so it might take some time.
#1: The easiest and most obvious solution to any problem is 99% of the time correct.
#2: There is no such thing as impossible, it just takes longer.
