Rear brakes Help needed
« on: September 03, 2012, 07:11:18 pm »
Ok so I'm having some rebrake issues. First off the E-brake has never worked, the cable looked to be cut off just before the drum. So after hearing the rear brakes rubbing I figured I'd replacing the e-brake cable and finaly have a e-brake.
Then after pulling off the drums and pads I noticed that someone never put back in the parking brake lever or the parking brake bar. WTH ????
I was able to purchase the brake bar at Napa but they are telling me I need to get the lever at a dealer or a wrecking yard. Anyone know if another year of lever would work? My truck is a 1987 3/4 ton. Will any other years or models work for me?
