I've got a 86' 1/2 ton longbox 4x4 with stock springs.I've also got a 77' 1/2 ton shortbox 4x4 that had a stock (I think) lift on it.Can I take the springs off of the 77 and put them on the 86?Will I have to change the position of the shackles? What is the proper way to measure the length of the springs?Any help would be appreciated because I pretty much know jack about springs.thanks.

They will work. but you might have to move the shackles...depending if they are both 52" or 56", cause both were made..im not forsure what those would have, cause i know more about 2wd...but just measure them from the mounting holes..
