np 208 leaking out vent tube when in 4wd
« on: November 08, 2012, 12:14:20 pm »
Does not leak in 2wd, vent line has been extended by way of rubber hose and vent cap up firewall. Fluid level in case is normal and im not losing tranny fluid into t case. Only when i'm in 4wd it "leaks" out the vent line.

Yes it weeps out vent line. I've come to the conclusion that it has to have something to do with transfercase seal. Theres no other known condition to cause this effect. Very simple to pull transfer case and change seal, (lots of room with body and suspension lift) i'll report back with my findings.
