Ohio guy here
« on: January 31, 2013, 07:09:10 am »
Hello from NE Ohio, the rust capital of the world, IMO. Glad I found this forum. I have 3 trucks. My 1980 is a one ton that was an old appliance store box truck. It's now a car hauler, extended frame, 12 ton pto winch, flatbed. Next is an 86 4x4 camper special 3/4 t plow truck. It's body/frame is shot from rust & it's soon to be a parts truck. Next is a 1982  "heavy half-ton".  A 3/4 t 4x4 frame blasted/painted & rebuilt with a nice 1/2 body & bed. I am more into decent functioning trucks not show. Nice forum to  find help and see what works. One can't know everything. My car hobby is Oldsmobiles. My Chevy car hauler has dragged 50+ Olds off hills, out of fields in 3 states. It's been a great truck the 18 yrs I've had.  Thanks for the forum, Ken

Welcome from California.

It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!

Hello again, As Elvis would say, "Thank you, thank you very much."  ;D I took basic training at Fort Jackson in Nov, 1969. I went to Myrtle Beach for the 1st time Easter of 1970. Amazing how the whole state of South Carolina has changed over the years. The end of August 2012 my Ladyfriend and I went to Califoria and hit every Redwood forest from San Francisco to Oregon. That was a great vacation. Both great states! Ohio's not too bad except for rust> :( Thanks again, Ken

Trying to post a pic for the 1st time. Pic of my 1980 "homemade" car hauler with 12 ton pto winch pulling a little rock while landscaping at my house in the woods.
