Ride smooth

What can I do for a smoother ride. Put on new shocks and it helped. I have talked to a few people that have done a lowering without bags and they said the truck still rides about the same. Anything a person can do short of baggin it to make it ride a little softer?

I think we need a little more information before we can offer any solutions. Are we talking about a stock c-10, or a beefed up c-30? 2 or 4 wheel drive? Tires and seats will also play into the picture. Tell us where you are and where you want to end up and I'm sure someone here has dealt with it.

Well this is a tricky question even though it doesn't seem like it. If you wanna do it the cheapest way possible then you can remove leafs from the spring packs in the rear and get a softer spring for the front or the more expensive way is softer springs all the way around. The down side to all of this is if you tow anything then it will lower your tow rating fairly drastically. I can't remember who makes them but there's a spring called EZ-ride for leaf springs that I have heard good things about.  If you do go with any of these choices but still wanna tow stuff then I'd also invest in a set of air bag style helper springs.

The other thing that you may wanna look at is your wheel and tire combination. if you have large wheels and small side walls then it will be a lot rougher ride because thin side walls are really stiff and allow very little cushioning.

BTW, I HIGHLY recommend removing no less than 2 springs in the rear or you will have serious tracking issues.
