Need paint code.
« on: March 22, 2013, 08:52:34 pm »
I am trying to find a paint code for what I call gunmetal gray. This shade may have a different name. I have seen this on our trucks at least on 85-87 models. I am changing the interior color of my truck as I am about ready to paint it soon. I have a code but think that maybe it was only a mini van color. I have seen alot of trucks with this gray and really like it. If any one could help I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

If you have any pics of gray trucks and also have the paint code then please post.

Yeah I am over there too. I thought I would post it here as well. Never hurts. Still trying to figure out the correct color code.

I believe what I have been looking for is code 90-WA8798. I was first looking at code 83-WA8915. I will have the painter spray both of these on something and go from there but I think the code 90 is the one I asked about. Thanks

The factory color was Steel Gray (metallic) and it was code 90 which is WA8798.  It was used from 1986 all the way up to 2005.
