Memorial day.
« on: May 27, 2013, 08:31:35 am »
I want to thank all of our 73-87 family that have, or are currently serving our country. If it were not for you, and the brave men, and women that served before you we would not be who we are, we couldn't do many of the things we enjoy, or take for granted.

Especially want to thank my father John Knott, Navy See Bee underwater welding assistant, tool & die, machinist, WW II.
On my mothers side, my grandmother Phylis Emerson, Army nurse WW II, her brothers, my great uncles Harold Emerson, Air Force recon photographer, and tail gunner, and Charlie Emerson,  Air Force pilot.
My nephew Jack Knott, Striker vehicle commander US Army, served in Afghanistan, and Iraq. He, and his team were all injured by an IUD, but they all came home to their families.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Definitely, thanks to all members of the armed services. It's not national BBQ day. It's Memorial day. Thanks for fighting for what you believe in and for our freedoms.
