My Truck..87 Silverado 5.7 TBI 700r
Want to replace accelerator cable...While researching online I noticed there are different length's that come up. Does any one know what the correct length is for my truck???
The current cable I believe is original, although it seems to long.
I'm in the process of solving my stiff/sticky accelerator issue, thought I would try a new cable and go from there!!! Thanks everyone in advance!!!!!

Thanks for the reply Irish!!! I do have another question...When the cable comes through the fire wall is it normal to wrap around in a loop, before connecting TBI??
It seems to me it should go directly to the TBI. I'm I just wrong, or what!!! :-\

The cable does the 'rolly coaster' between the firewall and the engine bracket by design to allow for engine movement.  It helps prevent runaway engine RPM as the body and frame flex, not-to-mention the effects of settling or broken motor mounts.

kind of like your brake cables are right under the master cylinder. mine doesn't but i think its cause its aftermarket carb and i bent the bracket to make it fit right.
