Need some opinions on my setup.

Hey guys I am going to be ordering my tremec tko trans this week and want to get some opinions from you before doing so. I have a 75 c10 shortbed with a 331 v8. has a small cam and stall converter, nothing crazy very mild. I do have 410 gears in the rear and I am trying to decide between the tko-500 or the 600. Both have different gear ratios. I want the truck to be fast but still have plenty of room in the overdrive area for long trips. I am just learning about these transmissions and super excited to loose my th350. ALSO I have just a standard edelbrock 600 cmf carb. What would be a really good carb to upgrade too? thanks so much fellas. Looking forward to some cool opinions.

http://www.5speedtransmissions.com/68-87_chev_truck_5sp.html  is about what I am going with.  I have been thinking this will be about right for what I want to do.  .68 5th gear will knock the final drive from a 4.10 to 2.78 which will be enjoyable at 70 mph.  The 3.27 first gear out to get it going in a hurry.  I wouldn't change the carb until you see what the trans does for you.  I am partial to the factory Rochester for performance and economy.
