Detailing your ride
« on: September 27, 2013, 12:27:36 pm »
I run a classic car show and one of the things that comes up from time to time is detailing.
Hate to say it but the cleanest things I have are my classics, house is a mess, garage is piled, car parts in the yard...

I would like to hear some of your tips about detailing.

Here are some of mine.

I have found if you have rust on chrome or even glass, rust eater will clean it. Be vary careful when using it on chrome.
Want your engine to look good in pics for eBay ? WD40 or Tire Shine.

00000 Steel wool and used oil fixes everything !
Goop hand cleaner will clean whather stripping and silicone will revitalize it.

Also gritty Go Fast hand cleaner will clean door panels dashes and a lot of things in your ride.

Well, i don't know the physics---how it works, why it works.  But it does work.   If you have rust on chrome, if you crumple up a ball of tin foil and put a little water on the foil and rub it over the rust, it gets rid of the rust.

Yes, really.
