Passenger side seat adjusters
« on: December 17, 2013, 12:57:35 pm »
Does any one know if they made the passenger side bucket seat adjuster?  my bucket seems to be just bolted in place with no adjuster for it.  I would like to be able to slide it forward when needed and maybe tilt forward too.

I have only heard of the drivers side having a slide on the buckets, but I could be wrong.  Have you looked to see if other bucket seat sliders could be modified to work ?

No, on bucket seats the passenger side was not adjustable from the factory.

that's helpful to know.

I've thought of buying a bench slider and modifying it.  I'm going to look into it though.  any ideas about the seat back tilting?

Without your bucket already having the tilt, it would be easier to find a bucket that has tilt in it.  Otherwise you have some heavy modifying to your seat to make it tilt.

Wouldn't it be easier just to find a set of high back suburban bucket seats out of a newer truck.  They have knobs that you have to turn for tilting but the passenger side moves like the drivers side...  I've bought 3 pairs so far, the most I've paid was $75 and that included a center console...  The last pair with a console was $50, blue was the color and no tears/rips...came with matching door panels

The newer suburbans have recline and slide.  There is a whole post on this..  Probably need to make a tech page...
