led dash bulbs
« on: December 12, 2013, 04:58:31 pm »
Is there such a thing as a dimmable led bulb, you can use for your dash cluster?  I just dont wanna be totally blinded. 8)Bulbs are 194s right?   I know an led is either off or on.   Does any one have pics of the chrome reflector process?
Imports sick.

Which do you recommend to use?   I just want white ones, not colored.

Peruse the Notes Concerning Conversion to LED Car Bulbs.  Your choices of color and luminosity are personal and depend on the look you want, though limiting factors may be availability of a particular color in the style you want and the price.  You should do more research before settling on either.  For a factory look, I would concentrate on the warm white or natural white.  Cool white LEDs emit a definite bluish cast.  There's a link in the 'notes' that illustrates the relative color temperatures of the various white LEDs.

I changed my dash to white face gauges with blue LEDs. Bought them at superbrightLEDs, and I bought two different kinds to try and fine the brightness I like, because there were only like a buck a piece.
