Air bag system for 86 C-10 HELP!!!
« on: February 25, 2007, 10:58:00 am »
Air Ride Tech had no application listed for the @#%$ end of an 86 C-10.... Can anyone enlighten me???

I am a do-it-yourselfer.... So something good yet simple. I know bagging a truck isn't simple, but you know what I mean!

front or rear?
There are different choices for the front from ridetech
Front:
www.ridetech.com/producti...trucks.asp
part# ARF11802-LUCA
www.ridetech.com/producti...olride.asp
part# ARF11800

For the rear, you can do air over leaf, but they JUST came out with the new airbar 4link for 73-87 models:

I don't think it shows up on their online catalog yet, but list price is like $1699.00

My personal recommendation is to go with a KP 6 link kit from suicide doors.

suicidedoors.com/4LinkKit...onents.php

It's a bit pricey, but it's also about the best link system you can buy for these trucks.  If you're a do-it-yourselfer, you can build this same kit with your own metal for about a quarter of the price, but you really gotta know your measurements.

As for a bag kit, I would HIGHLY recommend piecing together your own air management kit.  Read up on what's what, because there's always going to be something you want that isn't in the kit.  When you build your own kit, you get exactly what YOU want, for YOUR needs.

Read up on www.bagginit.com (if the site ever works again) and it gives alot of great info on air suspension.  Because trust me, when you build it yourself, you get what you want, and you get the satisfaction of knowing you picked out everything yourself.
