Replacing exhaust system
« on: April 19, 2014, 08:58:31 am »
I am in the process of returning my entire exhaust system back to stock on my 1980 K10 long wheelbase (131.5) pick up. The only part I can't seem to locate is the intermediate pipe between the catalytic converter and the muffler. You can find the one for the 117.5 wheelbase on Ebay but not for the longer wheelbase. Anybody have a solution to this?? I would prefer to find the correct pipe. I suppose I could buy the 117.5 WB pipe and try to extend it. just want to know if anyone else has solved this problem. Walker Muffler says the pipe is NA by the way which surprises me as I thought there were more 131.5WB than 117.5WB trucks out there. I forgot to mention that the engine is a 350.

Have a muffler shop make you one, it will be the same material if you bought it off e-bay or such.

That depends on the muffler shop, they might want you to bring them the truck and other pieces and then they would be able to do it on the spot.
