Rebuild 1985 GMC 4X4
« on: March 30, 2014, 05:37:00 pm »
Hi all! I have a 1985 GMC extended cab 4x4 with 6.2 diesel that I am wanted to get redone from the ground up. Does anyone know of a good custom shop that does everything from the engine/transmission, suspension, and bodywork? Thanks in advance!

GM built them for a few years 84 or so through 86 maybe, zeig and choptop have them on this site.  There is also a company out of Texas that was converting them for awhile.

I believe they all came out of CIA in Texas, GM just licensed them to do the conversion. I do not think GM built any straight from factory.

Blazing I,believe you are correct about the extended cabs coming from a coach builder in Texas how nice it would have been of gm built them
