Cheyenne or Silverado Badges?

Hey all. So eventually I plan on redoing the interior on my 79 Cheyenne C20. I have most of the available options from that year. I have a/c, camper special, brushed aluminum door trim, I installed factory power windows and locks. I eventually will be installing a tilt column also along with new carpet, custom door panels and a 60/40 full power bench seat.
My problem is I can't decide witch new badges to use. Cheyenne or Silverado? I love the Cheyenne label. When I get a new interior I will be getting new dash bezel and insert for it along with a new dash emblem. I will also be removing the fender emblems and filling in the holes for new paint. When all done it should be a fully loaded truck with a few more modern options that appear factory from 79. Also it will have the "LTZ" label on the tailgate like a new truck.
I will be using newer style badges on the outside from say a 2013 or 2014 truck.
A: I will keep the Cheyenne label and then have to piece together exterior emblems to spell Cheyenne on the sides and tailgate. Using pieces of letters from Silverado, Tahoe and avalanche. And using a Cheyenne dash badge.
B: I will label it a Silverado. Using new exterior emblems that do not have to pieces together because they already spell Silverado. And a Silverado dash emblem. Also the Silverado dash emblem matches the new brushed aluminum bezel and insert I will be getting very nicely. However the Cheyenne badge matches my exterior grille "350" emblem and my Chevy orange engine.
So any ideas or votes as to witch to use. I'm very undecided.

Insert emblems. Cheyenne is item 2, Silverado is item 7.

I'm planning my repaint, and it will be badge delete. Cleaner look and it's a PITA to wash and wax around them. Just my $.02.

Personal preference... Me personally I don't want to be accused of trying to pass something off fancier than it is. My 85 C20 is a Scottsdale but I am not putting down the coin for new badges and I am with Rich by keeping them off. If anything I may do the stick on ones for the door with the bowtie emblem and 2500 that is on the 88-91 Crew cab doors

I thought of changing to the Silverado badging but decided to keep the badge as Cheyenne. The main reason is I have not seen any Silverado badges for the fenders. Only outside badges were for the Suburban/Blazers.

Rich, I agree it is a pita to wash around them. Maybe because they are all connected and close together? I've noticed on newer trucks that it's not that bad because the letters have more space between them? More access for soap and sponge or brush.
Zieg, I removed my exterior side trim and I will be removing the badges also. It is a mostly loaded truck to begin with. I'm not doing all this to a custom deluxe lol. I just think that when it's all done, that if it looks from the outside like a "luxury truck" then the interior should have the expected comforts that a luxury truck normally does. Granted it's not a show only vehicle. It's my DD so I want features I'll use all the time and it's still packing 360 hp of go-go muscle under the hood and the exhaust is far from quiet. I'm running FlowMaster's second loudest street legal muffler.
Dvd, I know what you mean. Lots of people badge a truck a Silverado when it's not. My only thing is I wouldn't know where to start looking for new style stick on letters to spell Cheyenne. Silverado comes ready to go and I dont have to cut and rearrange the alphabet to get Cheyenne spelled. The Silverado inside badge matches all my interior trim, the Cheyenne badge matches my restored grille and new engine. All are black and Chevy orange.

Keeping it Cheyenne would be unique I think, just difficult to make happen.

Ok all. I have decided to go without the newer style badges. I will just be removing my original fender emblems and then I will fill in all of the body side mounting holes for the badges and trim and removing the pegs for the stainless strip under the back glass.
I will let the rings around the side marker and tail light housing be the contrast I'm looking for to make the truck look sharp. Also I will be keeping the water diverters above the doors. Only the "LTZ" badge will go on the tailgate bottom right corner.

Hahaha no. To me, pin stripe must be used carefully and when appropriate. That is neither lol.

I tagged a F-150 Ranger a Ranger XLT Lariat after I was hit and I paid extra to two-tone it. The replacement front clip was from a Ranger XLT Lariat and I told them to leave it. It was stolen 2 weeks after I got it back from the body shop. I think it was an inside job but I couldn't prove it. This was back in 81
