Running ethanol

I have a 1985 Chevy k10 with a 350 and a 4 barrel edelbrock. what can i do if i cant find any 100% gas. I'm about to go on a road trip and i usually run 100% but i have a feeling on the trip it will be hard to find. is there anything i can add to the tank when filling up with e10

I have heard of ppl useing 2 cy oil
But why not just run 92?

There is not really much you can do if you are concerned with its effects if that is what you mean.

Your carb will be fine just dont run e85

I had this question as well, anybody have a good additive they throw in the tank every once in a while? I'm filling up with 10% ethanol every time it seems.

I know a little about ethanol my dad worked at a ethanol plant for 10 yrs and we messed around with in some race motors
The onlytime i we ever needed to put a top cyl lube is when we ran e85 witch is 85% ethanol
It has no real lube value but jegs summit and most local parts store can get ya top cyl lube and you can get it in differnt scents blue berry was my fav
If your motor is stock or close to it 87 or 91 is fine you wont hurt anything
Stay away from e85 unless your carb and fuel lines are set up for it
And e85 has been know to decrease your millage up to 20%
