Hey all. I modified my throttle cable bracket. It was very easy and want to share it with you all. This would be very easy for anyone to do and doesn't take very long.
This us what it started as: Pic 1
Now the first thing I did is cut it in half where the 2 cable holders meet. Pic 2
Now find the center line of both pieces. It's easier to use the transmission piece and guide the throttle piece of that since the throttle is stationary and the trans half moves. Pic 3
Now mark a few holes so that they are in the center of each section, creating to rows of holes. Pic 4
Use the already drilled holes to make a template for the next piece. They should just about line up on each others center lines. Pic 5
Now mark and drill holes in the second piece. Pic 6

Now connect all the holes. You can use the drill bit used for the holes leaned back n forth gently, or a small cut off wheel or tool of your choice. This will create 2 slots in each piece. Pic 8
Now you can use a wire wheel to clean up the cuts or leave it as is or what ever you want. Maybe spray some paint on it to look pretty. I didn't paint mine this time, didn't feel like it and didn't really have time to wait for paint to dry. Find 2 small bolts, 4 small washers, 2 small split washers, and 2 nuts. Use them to hold the pieces together. Pic 9
AND THERE YOU HAVE IT! An easy to make, cheap, adjustable throttle bracket to make sure your trans cable will adjust properly. This is mainly good for engines and transmissions that have aftermarket parts, like intakes, carbs, non factory pieces. Also transmissions like the 700R4 that require an adjustable TV cable. If you need to buy this bracket, most auto parts stores should have or be able to get it, as well as online. It was made by Holley. I believe it was between 20 and 30 dollars at most. Pic 10
