Body Lift Bumper Bracket Fabrication
« on: September 10, 2014, 05:32:51 pm »
Does anyone know if anyone fabs body lift bumper brackets and where I can buy them? I bought my 1980 shortbox and recently purchased a rear bumper to fit on it to be only disappointed that the 3" body lift that was previously installed makes a big ugly gap!  I have looked around for these brackets with no luck.  If not does someone have some pictures of there 3" body lift brackets so I can fab them up myself?  Thanks!

Cut the bracket, weld in a 3" wide piece of steel, & weld the cut off piece to that.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

I don't have any pics or the truck any more for that matter.  But all I did was what Blazin basically said.  I took off the brackets and made them so they sat 3" higher.
