Hello from Kentucky

Hey guys, I am here to learn more about these trucks, specifically the 1975 stepsides. My Dad bought one as a graduation present to himself in 75 and drove it daily for years with tons of memories, until selling it for something more suited to his needs. I'm currently in Grad school in Philly and my dream is to find a pretty cheap (read: beat to heck) 75 stepside and resto-mod it as a retirement present. I have been turning wrenches all my life and am really excited to take on this project. I already have a BB and th400 from other projects but I'm having quite a bit of trouble tracking down a body at the moment. Any help you guys can give is much appreciated!

Welcome from NW Indiana.  Keep an eye out on Craigslist, not just local you may have to travel some.  Good luck with your search.

     Welcome from California.  If you are looking for a rust free one, you could always have one shipped to you.  Also if you find one somewhere you can ask if any members live close that could look at it for you.
     Nice to have you here and that is great that you want to build it for your dad.
