swapping would be too hard. its just running your wires and fuel/brake lines that will be fun. get body mounts that match the frame year

I'm in the process of finishing this exact project (although i can only work on it 1 day a week at most). Taking your time and having a tonne of plastic baggies was key for me. Also access to an engine hoist is probably the most important for the big stuff. I also recommend doing as much to the chassis you can before moving the body, as its alot easier to run brakes and fuel, some wiring ECT with it off. the order i did it in was:
1) all chassis related (steering/bushings/springs/Brake Lines/Fuel Lines)
2) motor/trans cherry picked and bolted in (also did engine wiring/routing)
3) lucked out, met a guy with a hi-ab crane truck wanting some practice, put tie straps through the cab and craned it over(dont do what i did and forget the parking brake cable, we lifted the front of the chassis 2 feet in the air on that mistake) Also left the front clip on it for this (hood removed for visibility)
4)gas tank, as rear mount still accessible without bed in way.
5) transferred new bed over, dad made an adjustable bed lift frame that ROCKS, routed new wiring for rear.
6)connect booster to brake lines, fuel line to pump, wiring to bulkhead.

but above all else, label everything you can, even some you cant, it took me 6 months of Saturdays thus far, and you'd be surprised what you forget about without a baggie labelled "rad support to Rad mount" was for, or that random wire that probably went on the engine somewhere.

I think he meant it would not be that hard.  With the help of a say 3 or 4 guys and a weekend, you should be able to swap it all.

How bad is your frame broken ?
Repairable ?

I've owned several 18 wheelers with frames that were extended to make em
Longer

Just a plate on the inside and outside and bolted and welded
