AC pulley doesn't line up
«

I bought my 87 GMC recently and the pulley on the AC compressor doesn't line up. I checked the casting info and it's an 80-85 305 block, meaning someone has switched it in the past. I'm assuming that's where the alignment issue came from. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Also, I'm missing the long mounting bolt from the bottom of the compressor. I put another bolt in and tried to make some shims. Anyone know what size it is?

It looks like the power steering lines up with the crank but the ac pulley doesn't. AC looks to be the odd man out.
Anyone have a blown-up illustration of how the ac compressor mounts up?

does your crank have 2 spots for the v belt like your power steering does?

not sure how it will work maybe someone else can chime in but could you put the a/c and power steering on the inside pulley and then put the power steering and crank on the outside?

Hmmm, that looks like a better fit. Not sure if it will tighten though. I was assuming the extra groove was for the air pump, which looks to have been removed when the previous owner swapped the engine.

better yet skip the a/c & pump and run one from the ac, pump and crank
