holley 80457-1 2807? what does this mean?
« on: February 20, 2015, 04:16:04 pm »
got a holley 80457-1 and by it it says 2807, i think (my eyes arent the greatest so someone please correct me if im wrong) sitting on an edelbrock performer 2101 or 2707 (same excuse).

the previous owner didnt have the choke hooked up and no cable to be found and the idle is kind of high. not sure what hes done to it but theres also a block off plate for an egr port it looks like. it runs fine and has lots of power but does anyone have any ideas on what i should do? keep it that way or correct it, and if i should correct it, how should i go about it?

its a 400 small block from an impala previous owner stated, in a 77 silverado 3/4 ton

Not sure what you are asking on what you should fix.  I would fix the high idle.  Is a choke present?

well what im asking is what kind of carb that is and should i keep the egr block off plate in place or remove it and put egr back? if its possible? and there is no choke hooked up. no cable connected. not sure if its supposed to have one, or if its electric..? just need help figuring out what this is why and is it supposed to be like that. i understand basic engines but not when aftermarket parts have been added or blocked off and what not...
