Bed wood specs
« on: January 12, 2003, 04:20:00 PM »
I have a 1984 Chevy K-10, short bed, stepside in need of a bed wood replacement. I have been unable to find any factory specs with regard to plank thickness, widths, and groove dimensions. I think the original wood was southern yellow pine but that is about all I know. Any help would be appreciated. Rick Hayes

Go to  Truck for a free catalogue.  They have full wood bed kits.  If you wish to build your own from scratch, then you may at least be able to phone them and get the specifications you are looking for.

If I was making a wood bed, I think I'd make it out of fiberon or whatever the new composite you can get is.
