I have a 77 C10 that has a small wood bed on it that maybe weighs 4 or 500 pounds. I have a metal dump insert that I currently have on a trailer. id like to put it on the back of the C10. It weighs #1000. I usually put about 3000# of gravel in it. I also do forclosure cleanouts and would haul trash in it. its easier to back just a truck up the hill at the landfill than the 2wd F250 diesel and a trailer that gets stuck in a half inch of mud. will the frame support this weight? I had also thought of throwing a dually rear end under it to boost the axle capacity. it has a 305 and a freshly rebuilt TH350 trans. if needed im willing to take the flat bed off. this thing runs like a scalded dog.
