IT REALLY JUST DEPENDS ON THE BRAND/STYLE OF HEADERS. I JUST INSTALLED A TUNED SET OF HOOKER 1 3/4" TUBE SUPER COMP. HEADERS ON MY TRUCK WITH LITTLE PROBLEM. OF COURSE I HAVE HAD EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE WITH HEADERS. I PUT THE TRUCK ON RAMPS AND SLID THE HEADERS UP FROM THE BOTTOM. ON RIGHT SIDE I DID HAVE TO REMOVE THE STARTER BUT INSTALLING THE STARTER WAS NO PROBLEM AS I USE AN AFTERMARKET MINI STARTER. PLUGS MUST COME OUT FIRST AND YOU MAY WANT SEVERAL STYLES OF HEADER BOLTS. I HAVE PUT FOUR DIFFERENT STYLES OF HEADER BOLTS IN MINE WITH HEADER BOLT WASHERS. YOU'LL ALSO WANT TO INSTALL THE HEADERS BOLTS INSIDE OF THE BENDS IN THE PRIMARY TUBES FIRST, JUST A THREAD TO TWO. DONT TIGHTEN ANY OF THEM ALL THE WAY UP UNTIL THEY ARE ALL STARTED. BE SURE AND USE GOOD HEADER GASKETS AND KEEP IN MIND THAT NOT ALL HEADERS DO NOT COME WITH GOOD GASKETS.

i always use the aluminum gaskets. they dont blow out and you can reuse them

Thanks for all the insight folks.

Excited to start this project. Im buying a house right now, so once it all goes through Ill have a spot to put her up on stands and go to town.
