teeth missing from flexplate
« on: August 07, 2015, 10:29:16 am »
I got the transmission separated from the engine and found 3 1/2 teeth in a row missing from the flexplate. Is this a wrecking yard item or it this something I should get new?

You can buy them new from an auto parts store.  If it were me I would get one from higher quality stores like Napa

That kinda thing is always better new. You never know what kinda of stresses or flexing a junk yard item may have been thru.

I put a nice one in mine as I don't want to go down there for a long long time. I think I paid $85, but you can get something for as cheap as $30-35.
