All of the v8's Chevrolet engines that are not ls based will bolt right in. The only thing you need to decide is what type of fueling method to use. You can keep the TBI unit and intake and use it on any head dated on and after 1987 except the LS and iron block LS series (mostly found in trucks and SUV'S from 1999-up). The 1987 heads have the same Vortex bolt intake pattern as later engines. So gaskets and RTV on the China rails and you don't have to run any wires. However, if you choose to use the more modern EFI you will need the whole harness, ECM, and fuel pump from that donor because the pump you have now only puts out 17-22psi. There are plenty of options to choose from so if you are still upside-down on what to chose just post what you are trying to swap and we will give you the ups and downs of the swap as best as our experience will allow.
