Trim...
« on: March 15, 2016, 02:38:55 pm »
Question on trim:

Right now i have stainless trim around the tail lights and front fender side markers, if i remove that trim, will it just look like a truck w/o the trim, or will it look funny? In other words, are the red tail lights and front amber side markers different with or w/o the trim? Will there be an odd looking "gap" there if i remove it? Will i have to buy the "non trim" lenses? Thanks...

I can only speak of the rears, same lens trim is added or at least I've added the trim to non-trim lens before

I knew you or someone would ask, "why would you want to do that"? Just wondering what the "plain" look would look like. Trim always seems to cause problems. It gets dinged or bent or dirty, doesnt always line up right, seems to hold water underneath, etc.

I guess if i did a full body restoration i would probably get all brand new trim put on,,,idk.

It will look exactly the same just with no trim. I wouldn't even bother with it. As long as you keep the truck clean, which I know you do, it all gets cleaned everyone you wash it and hit it with a hose.

Thats what i was wondering, thanks.  LTZ I know you understand, your always trying different things and going for different looks.  Which is fine of course.

I try and keep my experimental exploits related to the truck only.
