Door lock cylinder
« on: September 06, 2016, 04:47:25 pm »
I just put new black lock cylinders in my doors today to match, I've done away with a lot of the chrome...& Also the passenger side did not work. Driver side was an easy swap but when I took the passenger side apart, I was surprised to find that the 2-3 inch arm that is attached to the backside of the cylinderwas missing. It's gone. Does anyone kno where I can buy this piece? It's kind of a strange request but any help would be appreciated.

Here's the same thing for the right door from another vendor... http://www.classicparts.com/1973-91-Outside-Door-Lock-Pawl-Right/productinfo/18%2D188/#.V9dW5DUsBMU

When searching for a replacement pawl keep in mind that the left and right sides are different.  Be sure the vendor's description clearly identifies which side the pawl fits.

In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!
