Vent Door Plastic Piece Busted -__-

Any ideas as to how I can resolve this dilemma? All the solutions I can think of are unsustainable.

Using a small piece of bar stock the same width of the plastic piece, drill 2 holes, one the same size as the screw in vent door. Give the short bar stock a bend in middle with the same angle as the ramp on the plastic piece. Then bolt the bar stock over the plastic piece with the small plastic tab that was broken off still in place, this maintains the angle and keeps it flush, then sink a second small bolt a course thread screw into the body of the plastic piece.

Rich
It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!

@LTZ C20 - I'm still going to try your idea, I'm not the best with tinkering around like that but more than willing to give it a shot.

@bd - I literally laughed out loud when I read that, this forum never ceases to exceed my expectations. I assumed that would be some small part no one knew about lol, you replied fast as heck with the part # and everything. Very much appreciated guys.
