Hello from Texas
« on: September 14, 2016, 08:33:01 pm »
I just recently acquired a 1979 Chevy C10 Suburban Silverado. Just figured I'd post here first and introduce myself as I'll probably be asking a ton of questions in the near future. As of now, I believe almost all parts are how it came when new so I can only imagine some things will be needing to get checked soon. I believe it's got about 120,000mi so I was kinda wondering what things I should probably get checked out first.

Thanks for all of the welcomes! I just have one major concern with my truck right now. The balancer/pully on the crankshaft is not supposed to wobble correct?

Welcome aboard and I too am from Tx bud. No the pulley should not be wobbly. My recent flat tappet 350 motor in my 61 Impala had a bad wobble due to the bolts not being properly torqued. Well a few hundred miles later, I sheered the crank and wiped the cam. Double check the bolts, or the pulley may just be bent, if it is just replace. Also make sure that all your pulleys line up. Good luck and keep us posted. God Bless
